ADVISORY BOARD

Our vital Alliance allows the flow of information on Citywide issues, in fact to our country. Many times our bureaucracies need to have an overview of their actions. We have seen the Department of City Planning voice talking points of only one side of the equation. This is where we can increase public opinion and gain traction via our technical advisors to assist in making good decisions for our communities.

We have seen the need for technical advisors as many of these Department of City Planning procedures are opaque. The descriptions for Appeals, for instance, are circulatory and Pro-Forma, appellants are being marginalized with unclear appeal directions in City ordinances. And now the Department of City Planning is proposing to increase fees for Appeals to $16,000. We will engage additional voices with the LA Planning Alliance advisors to make this process more transparent.
